I’ve been working my butt off the past few weeks on a website refresh and I’m stoked to say that its just about done. There were a couple reasons for wanting to do an updated site (better video support and easy updates being the biggest two) and I’m excited its 90% there. If you have a moment and are interested, check out the site in progress — HERE –and hit me with your feedback. We’ll be working on it through the week, and I’ll take your feedback to heart.
For now the images and galleries are just about where I want them to be. The text is going to be updated, and the navigation should get a slight update. I’ll make sure to update when its done. Thanks! tk

Wow that looks really cool! I’m jealous of everyone and their badass new site designs!!
Overall design looks up-to-date, dynamic, and fits the images and style. The images are gorgeous. Video integration is tight and slick. Personally, I dislike the moving nav thing – makes me feel like I’m racing against the site to get to what I want to click on – but this design’s moving nav isn’t any worse than anyone else’s, and is better than some because the thumbs are more generous and the stop points are reasonably hittable. Some users may hunt a little before noticing the picture-to-picture nav, but once found it’s all good.
Mostly, though, it does let the content be front and center with generous images and design that isn’t in your face while your looking at pictures or video.

Not sure if the final site will allow it, but being able to have a link for a particular category / photo could be a +
Yo Tim,
Looks dope! I think you’ve nailed it from all angles. If possible, definitely try to make all the images deep linkable, so editors / art buyers can forward links to specific images.
Good stuff! Psyched to see the final version.

Hi Tim, I really like the full sized galleries and the fact that you can navigate images with both the keyboard and the mouse. The only thing that bothers me is the rotating navigation thumbnails on the home page. Unless I’m perfectly centered on an image it starts to fly away from me, which isn’t the most usable thing in the world. I’d rather manually have to scroll or something, or at least have it a little less sensitive. Good luck with the design and hope you post it soon!
Does your site have a beverage service included? I’d love to get a cold tasty beverage and kick back in order to thoroughly enjoy the visual journey provided by tk. S.I.C.K.
Looks great !
Got to this blog via a search for F-stop bags.
What program do you use to do this blog BTW ?
